Conival from Canisp summit

Canisp, is, I think, a much underated Assynt hill, most lured away by the near by Suilven. Yet Canisp offers great views over the rest of Assynt, and has it nearly all as far as the Assynt geology is concerned -- gnessis, pipe stone, Torridonian sandstone, and quartzite to cap it off, all stacked up in neat layers. The only thing missing is the lime stone (which forms the steep cliffs left of the green patch of grass in this picture).
